Infiniti g35 coup vs mustang gt pros cons?

Im real close to getting an 05 g35. Trading an 03 mustang gt. Just wanted to know if any I you have expierenced the differences such as handling drivability and overall performance. They seam to be a close in horsepower ratings. Does anyone have any advise? Looks wise there is no comparison to me seein the g35 is the nicest out there in my opinion

So the vehicle actually magnetizes vaginas to it. Very interesting. My fiancé just may not like this car as much as I thought. Lol!!!

I have owned a 2000 Mustang GT and I have a G35 sedan, my best friend a G35 coupe, so I've driven/been in it millions of times.

My overall assessment is you will be happier with the G35. But here are my full thoughts on it:

Overall, I believe the Mustang is a more fun car to drive. There was nothing more I loved to do than go cruise around in the stang on nice nights. Although the G is a fun car, I definitely enjoyed the mustang more. The stang costs almost nothing to mod compared to the G35, so if you're considering modifications, consider that. Also, if money is a concern, the G will cost a lot more to service, but if you get the CPO, you won't have to worry about that. On the other hand, the G will hold it's value much better and can sell all year. If you sell your stang any time other than now to mid August (so basically a 6 month time slot), you'll get thousands less due to lack of demand.

But, besides the fun factor with the mustang, you get a ton more comfort, smoother ride, quieter ride, better handling, classier, more luxurious, definitely more of a looker. Although I see more G coupes on the road than I do GTs, I still enjoy seeing them much more. I mean, I modified my stang a ton so it would blow away Gs, but with that, it was obnoxiously loud, and not a relaxing ride.

So when it comes down to it, if you have the money for the G, you will appreciate it much more in the long run I believe. Also, although neither are great in poor weather, if you live anywhere near snow, as I'm sure you know even with winter tires, sandbags, etc the stang can barely move in snow. The G can actually somewhat manage it if you get some nice tires. Good luck, sorry for lack of organization, just spoke as things came to me and hope this helps!

thanks 04g35sedan for taking the time and effort in a really helpful post. I def like cruising and etc in the stang but I really want to step up the class. Im also going from a manual to auto. So probably won't have as much fun but, I'm starting to get older and need to be, well you know the freaking G is just so damn sweet.

If you want speed, get a 370z. Runs a 13.3 stock and has around a 4.7 0-60.

lol you're asking on a g35 forum, so of course we're going to say the g35 has more pros and less cons. Seriously though, my honest opinion is that yea, the g35 will be a better overall car, and I agree with everything people have said so far...g35 ftw

Regardless of the fact we're on the G35 forum, you have to just look at Consumer Reports or any other car rating site and Infiniti is overall ranked one of the top car companies in the world. Minus price, they are some of the most efficient cars out there. Although Ford doesn't get a great rep all the time, I never had trouble with either of my mustangs. Still, Infiniti in general, minus bias has a ton more pros than cons

Stock G off the start, Stock Mustang will win. Give it a few seconds G will smoke the Stang. Go with the G. Just plain comfortable. I've had a Stang.

Infiniti makes a better car than Ford. I think the Mustang will feel faster and more seat of the pants acceleration. I wish my G35 had more headroom.
