Drive your G or let it sit?
Well I have had my G since 2006 and drive it maybe once a week and maybe 10 miles or so. I have always had a beater, well my beater was stolen.
I am torn, I think I might be holding the G35 on a higher pedestal it deserves by letting it sit. Do you think I should enjoy it and drive it everyday? Or pick up another beater?
Are we gaining anything by not driving the cars or just giving someone else a good used car down the road.?

hmmmm well I have a beater, and a yamaha r6s
but I love the g35 too much that I drive it wayy more, 2-3k miles a month!! can't stay away
even through the rock chips, *** holes that accidently or purposely scratch your car
I still love driving it!
though I believe since I put 2-3k a month I should start using my r6s more

I put about 5k on the G a year ('04 with 29k). Granted, it's far from stock and just can't make it everywhere... I've put too much of my time and money into it to see it get torn up people in a parking lot.
I've been thinking over the past few months I need to just turn it back to stock and drive the damn thing because it really is a nice car and the interior still smells like new...
So should you drive it? Yes. Plus you probably won't have as many issues with it if you take it out every other day and just drive it like a car needs to be. But it's your choice. There are people on both sides here, it was your money... and neither way is going to effect anyone but you. And either way is exceptable as long as it's what you want!

Drive it. All it's doing in your garage is losing value. The car's going to last for many years, so enjoy it. I drive mine every day (it's my only vehicle right now). Got great snow tires on the stock 17's for the winter and am getting some new rubber for the Coupe 18's I just bought for summer use. I'm planning on keeping mine for the next 8-10 years, and even then it will be in great shape.
It's a car and it should be driven. I don't understand why people by cars and don't drive them. I drive mine 800-1000 miles per week. So what if it gets chips and scratches. It supposed to have that. Unless you plan on making it a show car only then drive the damn thing.
I actually took mine on a trip recently and parked it overnight at 2 different hotels for 2 nights. Crazy, I know.
We have 3 cars for the 2 of us and 1 is my work car with free gas. So the 07 G35c that is almost 2 years old to us only has 13k on it. Our other vehicle is almost 3 years old with 26k on it.
So I don't drive my G much due to the free gas in my other car.
