Laser Jammer in CA
i disagree. CHP uses Ka band radar.
I pick up Ka from cops on the highway when I drive to Monterey or Tahoe but not very much in the city.
I just saw cops pulling over people on the San Mateo bridge yesterday .. I never saw a cop the the bridge till yesterday, One more hot zone to remember

Beaditya, my guess is they're targeting younger drivers which isn't unusual in CA. What was the average age of the citizens you noticed when you went to court? My guess (until you tell us) is 18 to 25. I got my license when I was 16 for the next 4 years I received 27 moving violations. It didn't matter how or what I drove, see you're not alone! It might be time to change your driving habits, get a V1 and be aware of who's around you at all times!

Holy ****, 27 moving violations? What did you do? lol
Lost my license for 90 days over that period of time and paid a whole bunch of fines. One of the prices you pay for driving a modified car and growing up in the SFV.

According to a few of the LEOs on the vette/porsche forums, there are very few Laser equipped cops out there. They are too expensive for the current budgets. But you are correct, once you've detected them, they've got you. It's not like radar that you detect someone else being detected.
Nope...they are using Lidar. Maybe they still use Ka in the car mounted radar, but I was referring to the actual hand held guns they are using now. I drive for a living and cover all of Socal from Santa Barbara to San Diego. I see CHP parked everywhere these days aiming their Lidar guns. Not sure why I see so many more cops these days clocking cars. Maybe it's the state defecit.
It's not just the CHP either. All cops I see hiding out on surface streets are also using Lidar.
