sirius radio remove pod on roof

Does everyone have these annoying sirius radio pods on their roof? Its a little black pod that sits on the top of the roof behind the sunroof. do our cars come stock with this? what happens if I remove it?

What is the best way to remove it? Thanks guys

If you use the Sirius, you'll need it. If not, I assume it can be taken off, but how, I don't know. I'm sure it's glued on pretty well.

I have XM so I need mine, but I kinda like how it looks.....

some are magnetic. if not, its held down with some pretty good 3M adhesive.

if you've ever debadged a car, you should know what you're getting into.

I've got one and it's GOTTA GO! Previous owner had it on there/installed. yuk. Anyway, I plan on getting it off soon. Probably a little wd-40 and some goo gone will take it off w/o marks.

i just talked to someone about getting my roof painted black and the hardest part would be to take this off....he said is bolted on from the inside, thus need to remove the headliner in the car and expose the bolt....can anyone verify this?

I have that ugly looking antenna also, it's held on with 3m tape on the skinny part and I think just magnets on the big part..that's what I heard I want mine off..

I Just took my black satellite off and It was hard, but with a hair dryer it is possible just be careful and not scratch the paint. Its a very sticky adhesive and a magnet in the middle it. The was no hole drilled into the cars body.
