Question Regarding Oil Change

I used to get my oil changed at the dealership and after every change my oil life bar and my oil filter bar under the maintenance tab in my G's computer screen would always reset, im wondering is that a dealer thing, did they reset it? does it do it automatically? or if i go to any oil change place will it do the same thing?

i know its a weird/noob and hard to explain question but if anyone can help me out....

you gotta do it yourself...there are options to set mileage, turn the notification off, and to reset the trip

Go to INFO -> Maintainence -> and then reset the oil filter and oil change intervals

You can even set the mileage you want them to go off at. I set mine for 3000 and i usually get around to doing it by 3500 miles

Yes. It's part of the NAV setup. It has menus for maintainence and fuel economy as well with it.

Another good reason not to have NAV what a PIA. I don't need some computer telling me how to get from point a to point b especially if it gets you lost. Infiniti doesn't have this perfected yet, maybe another 10 years....

It takes 20 seconds literally.

I love my NAV. Hasn't got me lost yet and it's gotten me out of some situations where i have gotten completely lost.

You live in New England, how tough could it be? Try the same Nav in L.A. it will put you on side streets when the freeway is one block over....been there no thanks. Nav's haven't developed common sense or should I say the programmers haven't....

You haven;t driven in Boston have you?

Not gonna argue that they don't have common sense yet, but still, I don't regret specifically looking for a G with NAV. It's come in handy at times
