This is why I don't let my wife drive my car!!!

Well against my better judgment I let my wife drive my car today. Actually I had to because my wheels where done having the tires mounted and I needed to pick them up, so she took my car to work and I took hers.

Late this afternoon I get a text saying she's sorry and not to be mad at her. Since she had no clue what a bumper was she couldn't even tell me what she did so I had to wait until I got home from work to she what she did. My car sits pretty low and apparently she pulled to far forward into a parking spot and hit the curb pretty much destroying the lower section of my front bumper. It's hard to tell from the pics because it was getting dark out, but the section right below the plate is all messed up and the paint is scraped off pretty much the entire length of the bumper. I was pretty pissed, but not so much because she did that, but because she said it wasn't her fault. I said if it wasn't her fault who's was it? I guess it was the contractor who put the curb there or maybe it was the bank for having a curb in the first place. The only up side to this is it gives me an excuse to buy a new aftermarket front bumper and she can't say **** about it.

ouch lol it really does not look that bad from the pics, an OEM lip would cover it right up but a new bumper is always a good thing

Boy do I know your pain. My wife got me too, but with my front rim. Get the total for the front & the rear bumper and tell her that's the price for the front bumper. LoL

All you need is an OEM front lip. She probably did you a favor.

Doesn't look too bad. Definitely be positive and find a lip or an aftermarket bumper.

You guys are having a hard time seeing the damage because of the pics. Look right below the K and E in my plate and you can see where the bumper is all crinkled. The paint is all cracked there as well.

Sorry to hear this. +1 on the new bumper, but I think this gives you an excuse to ask her for something kinky she's normally not into as an apology

Just a thought.......

Hey, its your fault for having your car soo low. Just ask them! Any excuse to put the blame on you. Personally I learned my lesson when my girlfriend hit a tree. Thing is, she was only going 20mph on dry pavement. And since then, I have never let anyone else drive my G.
