Just had it fixed Monday. There was a TSB out for it.....I was still under warranty, thank goodness. All they do is grease it up!

I had this problem even when the car was brand new... had the tsb performed covered under warranty and hasn't been a problem since.

I gotta take mine in. Its not when I drive but when i put it in gear. My mechanic said he will take care of it on my next oil change.

Fvck this POS car.
Let's see, you can:

1) Take it to the dealer and have them fix it according to the TSB.

2) Use the DIY and fix it yourself.

3) Sell the car.

It's really not that difficult.

Just got my issue resolved today, they did it for free. Good people down at downtown infiniti in toronto. I've heard that this problem comes back after a short while. Lets see if this is the case.

hey guys,
nice thread, even though it's like the third or fourth of its kind on this forum about the rear noise - yeah took it in a while back and they grease it up the axle,
they also needed to retorque the rear axle since i've been trying to drift a little bit (not working - hhmmm),
anyhow, the powertrain warranty ( yes the 04 should be covered under warranty given you haven't passed 70k miles on odo yet),
took an hour or so and they even wash your car so if you wanna a wash take it down and grease it up,
thanks,

Unfortunately the powertrain warranty is good for 6 years or 70,000 miles, not 7 years. Please have your information straight before you go out giving advice. BTW you might want to spend a little more time on this forum before you get all high and mighty. Your sarcasm was duly noted in the first line of your post.

Freakin 's

Thanks for playing

Pretty intelligent posts for a 12 year old. How did you get your license so young?

You won't last long on here. Not many of us appreciate or respect an immature pu$$y like you that just joined and acts like a fool so quickly. If you're gonna try to insult me, at least have the creativity to come up with a new name to call me. You already used the 'beeeeotch' in Vrod's thread. Made an a$$ of yourself over there too I see.

Have a nice day!

hmm, well it seems they fixed my rear axle by lubing it too..

they said it was covered under warranty, but i tink i heard something about a 100 $ deductible in the voicemail?
wtf is that?!

gotta find out tomorrow... but i am not paying 100, especially for lube.
