how much freeon is need for a recharge

hey guys i have a 2003 g35 i think may need a recharge of freeon the belt is fine im pretty sure the compressor is to i hear it click on i have to have my temp set donw 2 60 degress to feel cold ima recharge it how much do i need to put it????

You really need to use a pressure gauge on the high an low side, there's no reliable way to tell how much it needs without it.

Trick question?

I don't think these cars use freon anymore. Since the early 90's the replacement R134a has been used

While looking up just now the name of the replacement, I've been led to the impression that you have to be very careful just adding replacement to your car. If the seal is broken, and you've lost refrigerant, you likely have contaminents in the system, and you risk overpressurizing it just adding coolent.

well the freeon that they sell at autozone comes with 2 gauges so ima do that ima have my mechaninc check it out sunday
