You're an idiot. That $10 you saved isn't worth the 10 minutes spent online.

Negotiated the best price on K&N Drop In Filter + K&N Recharge Kit
Last night I was installing the new pop charger I got except I bought the one for the 350z by accident.
In the middle of removing everything though I grew to respect the design that was already currently on the car and decided to go a different route with the drop in filter by K&N.
This morning I sat down to look for the best price on one and the local autozone store had it for about $46.99 or so. Pretty good price considering you get to have it right away.
Considering I was about to lose money selling that brand new 350z pop charger I decided to be a bit of a penny pincher and went looking for the lowest price possible.
I stumbled upon these two sites:
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/
and
http://www.performancecenter.com/
So I started trying to price match them against each other.
Well, autopartswarehouse has the drop in filter for $38.88 + $5.50 shipping but free shipping if you spend over $50.
performancecenter has the drop in filter for $41.99 with free shipping on your whole purchase no matter what the amount.
I decided I shuld probably get one of those recharger kits too.
Autopartswarehouse: $12.99
Performancecenter: $8.99
Interestingly enough I discovered that Autopartswarehouse actually has a live person you can talk to online and chat with over customer service (you can call them on the phone too) 24 hours a day.
I decided to give it a shot and see if they'd price match the other guys.
At first the CS rep said he'd match the price at $50.98 shipped. Then after telling him that I was only interested if they could drop the price then he dropped it to $50.01 shipped.
Not too bad of a deal considering if I had gone to the parts store this morning I could've gotten that little drop-in filter for $46.99+tax = $50.86 and wouldn't have gotten the recharge kit.
Anyways I'm sure most of you are gonna think this was a complete waste of time but I ended up with the same package plus a recharger kit for free.
I know some of our vendors on here sell that for $39.99 but one of them had a shipping charge of nearly $9.
Overall I thought it was well worth the 10 minues I spent online chatting with that autopartswarehouse place. Judge for yourself if it's worth your time and you're interested in getting the K&N drop in filter.
