Car backed into left a note but no call
Just to start this off, NOT ME, NOT MY CAR, G IS STILL SAFE!!!
So me and my buddy were out getting some food at a 24/h grocery store it was about 2am, yea I know I'm 18 an weird. Anyways he backed out and I guess he's.....well he's an idiot and backed into a mazda 6 and scraped the drivers side front bumper pretty bad. not cracking or anything but bad none the less. He wanted to leave but I made him stay.
We waited in the parking lot for 15-20 minutes but nobody came out to the car, so I went inside the grocery store and asked them to page the owner of the black Mazda 6 with this license plate, wait 10 minutes. Nobody comes :s
Go back out to the car and I write a note with both my phone number and my buddies (in case he decided he wouldn't answer) Told the person how I'm sorry and I am sure we can work it out etc. Left it firmly under the wipers and headed home.
This was almost 3 weeks ago and no call, do people really not notice these kinds of things? The car had aftermarket wheels so he obviously wasn't just some guy that uses it from point A to B kinda thing...
Blows my mind!

As mentioned you did the right thing so dont stress too much about it.. other possibilities
5. Car was stolen
6. He couldn't read english and decided to throw it away
Who knows, you did what you were suppose to do, give yourself a pat on the back pal

My best guess would be that hes illegaly driving and it doesnt want any problems. This is a common thing here in massachusetts as we harbor a ridiculous ammount of illegal aliens who are driving with no licenses or insurance.

I would say be comfortable in the fact that you did the right thing. Your friend needs to grow up though.
Live and learn.

They didn't notice or care, it's only transportation!
That is strange, and yet when you consider peoples attitudes toward their cars it isn't. Most of us here on driver would be on the phone within hours, but there's those individuals that a car is nothing more than transportation from point a to point b. They get is washed when they can no longer use their windshield wipers and have the oil changed when it makes funny noises....quite different from you and I.
