new engine!!! what to get?
Hi
I have an 03 g35 coupe and i would like to put a new engine in it something really quick and that roars. I was thinking of putting a twin turbo in it but I already have 85,000 miles on the car and dont want to put more stress on it? Any suggestions of what I should do?

if you have money rebuild and twin turbo.
your ORIGINAL VQ engine cant take the stress of a turbo and its worse if it already has 85k miles on it.
like thescreensavers said you could also supercharge, that'd be the cheaper easier route

Just rebuild the entire engine and TT it. You will give it new life once you rebuild it. But you need lot's of time and money for a rebuild. And you're car will be out of commission for a while (no driving
).
).
Yo! Put two b16 vtecs in there yo! The vtecs have mad horse powers homey! But only the Japan ones, the other ones arent good.
Sorry, flash backed to a film I saw the other day...lol. Honestly, I think your best bet would be to leave your stock motor alone and baby it. Get yourself another VQ, blown or not dont matter, and do a full rebuild on it. Then, after its fully rebuilt, get yourself a TT setup and call yourself godlike! Or a single turbo setup and some juice. But if it were me, and i had money to blow like that, I would do the full rebuild and the TT.

And im pretty sure the Ls1 idea was a joke... lol. Pretty sure an asian god of some sort would come down out the sky and fry your @ss for putting a GM product in a G35.

But rebuild and TT would be sick.

Find a used low mileage engine, have it rebuilt with strong internals. Now would be a great time to add some paint/polish too. Then you can go TT or Vortech without any worries. This way your down time will be at a minimum, we hate not driving our cars!
