probably noob question once again..but..i hear of ppl gettin the osiris tune after however many bolt on's...but i was wondering ...does it matter what year of the car? i have an 04...kuz i know 05+ has the rev motor or whatever...but yeah plz answer that for me guys...and if 03-04 cant get osiris tune...is there a recommended tune?

 

Only the 6MT's from 05+ have the rev-up motor, the 5AT's don't. And I believe you can get an Osiris for late 03 and onward. Earlier 03's cannot get Osiris, but you can get a flash from Technosquare.

 

oh ic..yes i have a 6mt but mines an 04..and is a flash same thing as a tune?...and "technosquare" not aware of the term..is it a place? company? or type of "flash"..my apologies for not quite understanding everything...just tryin to learn..

 

reflash is just them sending you a premade tune of what should be good for your car to gain power. im not saying it is a bad thing but it is a generalized tune and every engine is different.

a tune talks about going and doing dyno pulls and having a tuner, or yourself if you have the knowledge and tools, creating something similar to the the reflash but specific to your car. therefore getting you the very most out of your tune that you can for your car, where as a reflash might have you missing a bit of potential still.

 

A flash and a tune are similar, but not the same. Both involve reprogramming the ECU, but a tune is done with the vehicle and is more precise, and also more expensive. Both are beneficial.

You could try searching for it. I know the answer is on this site somewhere, I'm just not going to do the work for you (and neither is anyone else).

Thanks Blue, I did a quick search last night for him but couldn't find anything that definitely said the years. I didn't look that hard, but I'm pretty certain the 04+ can get the Osiris, and even some of the 03's. OP, keep digging.

 

03.5 and up can get the Osiris tune due to the ECU being changed after the initial 03 model.
