If you are not worry about FIVE O pulling you over, I would paint it. Look much cleaner.

Does FIVE O mean popo?
If so, why would popo pull you over for what you have done to your taillights? I see the brake and the turn signal.

 

Ya, FIVE O = PoPo.. The jealous POPO will pull you over to any MOD you have on your lights. It is all depend on them. I got the light from a member here. He got pull over before.

 

Painted tails are the way to go if you live in a state like Florida where the laws are either ignored or not enforced. To CYA it might be a good idea to go with Bats overlays. If you do receive a violation they can be easily removed.

Yep. FIVE O in SOCAL, CA have nothing to do but harrass us for little things. Even gave us fix ticket for clear corner side marker with amber light.

 

Go with painted, thats what i did and its sick.

What kind of prep work do you need to do to get the paint to stick to the tail lights?

 

On most coupes I prefer the smoked style overlays.
Full solid black or GTR solid black on OB coupes is overkill IMO.
Full smoked or GTR smoked looks better.
