not to knock you AT guys but as far as the coupe goes, i would rather not have this car then have it automatic. sedans i can understand, you got different priorities.

plus i loved my sister's comment. "both your cars are stick now, so i cant borrow either one."

exactly.

No brainer for me. Its my second manual car and I would never go back to AT. Plus the gf doesnt know how to drive a manual.... barely even an automatic. And I will never teach her. Even if she did learn she's not touching the G. Not even sitting in the drivers seat.

This is my case, my G is my DD and I wanted AWD so auto it was. My other car is an AWD Turbo 5MT so it satisfies my need for a manual when I want to drive one. The G is my first auto and I thought I would hate it, but I don't.

I have an Automatic but drive it in manumatic about 40% of the time. I know its not as good as a manual but it still gives you a taste of both worlds.

I can't hate on auto's. My first car had an auto with a nice valve body upgrade, and that car was very exciting. I got the g in manual because I could be a little more selective when going through corners & holding third gear longer through a tunnel

I wouldn't hesitate to get either.

MT is never about speed. It's about the fun-factor.

I honestly wouldn't have gotten the G if MT was not offered. Not because it makes my ***** bigger (as if I need it any bigger ), or because it makes me feel better over someone else. But because I can't find any enthusiasm in driving an automatic.

To each their own. I never argue my point over someone else's, because everyone has their own priorities. Which is why these threads are a waste of server space!

haha, in real world it is.

you have to realize that g35 although worldwide mostly, is a small sample pool.

When I first decided to get a G, I went to a used car lot where I have bought many cars from. And I told him " I dont care how long it takes, I want MT, Nav, and Brembos." shiet it took like 5 months totally worth it every time I get in my G I smile

I am also surprised about how close it is between AT and MT. I am personally an AT love having the flexability of shifting myself although of course not a true manual or placing it in full auto. However I do have my days of wishing I held out a bit longer for that 6MT.
