Question Lowering Sprigns Installation Questions

I talked to my mechanic @ Infiniti and asked if hes ever installed lowering springs on any vehicle and his answer was no, but hey said he can do it. All there is to it is just installing them and let the vehicle sit for a while to adjust to it, if not so can you guys enlighten me , and also what is the best brand that can retain the smooth ride of the G, i was told Stillen.

thanks

It's not very hard. You can do it yourself. Just do alignment after the installation.

he's a mechanic and has never installed springs? sounds... ummm... i have no words for that. Do yourself a favor and bring your car on down to San Diego and i'll install your springs for less than half of what any shop would charge, even after the gas money. Or if you dont want to drive all the way down here, hit up Shane, he does installs too.

Its easy as hell to do.. I thought it was going to be somewhat hard on the rear and it was smooooooth sailing.. Just got stuck on cutting the springmount because I have to C clamp and vise to hold it with.

i would say search around for the best springs, this question has been asked since the beginning of manking

also spring install isn't TOO bad, it more of a pain in the *** than anything, but im suprised that a mechanic has never done it before yet he can do it.. interesting how that works

lol dre, i've never done the rear axle click fix until today, but i did it. There are a lot of things mechanics haven't done but are very capable of doing. Like i've never done a Vortech install before but i'd damn sure love to try it!

Gotta be LOTS of peeps in soCal who have done this. Hit one of 'em up, supply some beer and a spring compressor and you're good to go.

springs are springs, whether they're lowering springs or a lift kit... they all go in the same way, lol. You're one lucky guy getting VSXX for free!
