Hi, I'm in the process of purchasing a used car. I looked at a 2004 6spd g35 coupe today. The motor was strong and the clutch engaged perfect, but I felt a shake/shutter/vibration in the shift **** when I applied gas. I have driven 350z's but I don't remember this. Is this normal? Is it a common problem? Let me know what you guys think about this.

Bump, I just recently bought an 06 6mt coupe and I am starting to get the same problem.

 

I'm not sure what the problem was with that car. I talked to a infinity tech and he said it was normal to a certain degree. I ended up finding a better deal and purchased it and so I haven't really looked into the matter any further.

 

It's a common poblem for the shift **** to vibrate on G35's.

 

shifter vibration is common/normal. With transmissions where the shifter is directly connected (not by cable/hydraulic) it is normal.. Dont rest your hand on the shifter either.
