Were the rear tires bald? How much mileage did the rear tires have? Rain season is coming and I'm just wondering.

No, the tires weren't bald or close to it...I had some tread on them...i'd say maybe about 75-80%. There were new tires on them when i bought them back in jan. It had 72k mi on it and when i wrecked it, it had about 87k mi. I drove it a LOT. Drove it to Florida, Atlanta, Mobile, AL - etc etc.

 

75% tread left on the tires after 87k miles? wow.

Stock tires go bad after 10-25k miles.

My tires have 9k on them, and they look to have about 60% tread left of them.

 

I didn't do crazy turns or drive aggressively.

 

update: they totalled the car - and 95% of my loan will be paid off...there is only one more payment - and since i dont have a car anymore,. i dont need the extended warranty that I bought from Carmax -- so they're reimbursing me , so there -- my car will be paid off..wheew...talk about lucky!!!

 

that sux !!! totalled a beautiful loking car. Good that the loan has been taken care of.

 

Im happy about that, but everywhere I go I see G's... It's depressing...i went from a baller car like that, to a 2001 Mitsu galant, that has a horrible paint job, the fuse or something is screwed up cause the signals dont work most of the time....argh..my brothers old car....he didnt take care of it...and now my parents are making me pay monthly payments on this POS....ARGH. I gotta find a cheap G or something.

I'm disengaged from it...its at some salvage yard in bham last i checked....im moving on with me life -- it's a bit hard though, cause everywhere i go im seeing G's everywhere...and im like "DAMNIT...I had one of the sexiest cars"....oh well - life happens

 

Tires look pretty bad to me.
