So G37 IS a better handling car?

So we all agree the G35x is at a signifiant disadvantage to the G37 in the handling game? I mean how does a stock G-37 feel going fast in the twisties?

I wouldn't call them significant, but it does have some disadvantages. You don't buy an X to get great handling, you get it because it's AWD, so there's no point in comparing them. And you're also comparing different generations. A G37x might handle just as well as a G35 Coupe, but that wouldn't be a fair comparison either.

Two words: test drive.

That is the whole problem. This is why I ended up renting the G35x, because it was the only way to get to REALLY drive the G. Driving around the block like I'm taking granma to church does not do much for me in terms of telling me how the car handles. I need be a little more aggresive than a dealer would possible like. In fact the dealer I went to would even let me on highway. I can't spend that kind of money without knowing what I'm really getting.

350Z is to true a sports car. I don't want any less cabin room than Celica. Passengers included.

Shouldn't G37's handling be worse than G35 for their weight increase(+300lb)?

Yes I looked at it again and it is not that 300lbs except comparing to G37 AWD coupe which weight 3800.
I thought difference was 300lbs but I was wrong.

If then similar handling?

This is a G forum not a Celica forum GTFO.

Take the car out without the salesman. I test drove a 37 a couple weeks ago and abused her just about right. Even if you have a salesman with you take an exit ramp at high speed. They might get annoyed but if that's what it takes to sell a car then they will suck it up.

I don't care about break-in periods on demos and neither should you....unless you buy a demo, denyojuscrehzy.

Also you are comparing a X- All Wheel Drive model which isn't known for very good handling.

You should have test drove the Sport model in 6mt. Handling is much better in the Sport model.

I was in your position a few months back. I looked at about 3-4 06-07' G35 6mt coupes and then found a 07' 6mt Sport Sedan. I ended up purchasing a fully loaded 07' G35 Sport Sedan for roughly around the same price as the G35 Coupe.

The Sedan is superior in every possible way except for the exterior look and cockpit feel.

Good Luck
