I found "Slick" sitting on the showroom floor at Glendale Infiniti after doing a major search for the Twilight Blue color. I paid $35,5+T&L in March of '04 OTD and never regretted it....

you didn't put anything down but you pay 100 a month on top of your 359 a month to pay off a down payment loan of 2500..?

i was just wondering how many people actually have the g and actually paid for it... im not rich.. but $800 a month.. not a whole hell of a lot of people can pay a payment like that along with a house, kids, food , etc...

there has been complaints of some of the forums turning into honda type kid forums.. i just think that now that the g has a few years on it's belt, you can get a cheap one nowadays..ie half price.. and there u go.. half price or even less equals a kid that wants a big boys car for the price of a honda.. i hope i don't burst anyones bubbles..
I bought my car, so i got the whole 'new car at the dealer' experience, but i paid 12k less than what my car MSRP'd for. Can you imagine 12k in mods? Or in the bank?

These car's values just took a crap. It is very unfortunate...

i bought a used G for less then half the price of a new one (14k + 1500 for extended warranty) but I also bought my fiancee an 06 civic(her focus was a pos with no ac and she had no money because she was in college and student teaching) so instead of paying $800 a month for one g I have 2 cars. also the dealer is replacing the engine on my G(plenty of people who bought their G new had that done also from what I see) so it will have 0 miles on it when I get it back and I have a g35x loaner in the meantime. Also i drove mine off the dealer lot too but it went into limp mode because they messed something up replacing the clutch..lol, since it was an infiniti dealer they fixed it right away and I was off again.

My brand new RSX-S on the other hand was like 25k otd, value tanked as soon as I drove it off the lot (as with all new cars) and it had more then its fair share of problems(wow its so awesome to drive cars off the lot, you can simulate it buy taking a used car to a new car dealer, dropping $5000 under your rear tires, covering it with some sort of flamable liquid and doing a giant burnout on it...that would be way more awesome, driving off the dealer lot with a flaming pile of money and smoke with burning ben franklins flying all over the place, it would be epic)

I think the best cars to buy are certified used because sometimes the warranty is longer then it is on the new cars. I wouldn't buy a private party used car unless it was in the sub 10k range and I had the cash for it, otherwise its asking for trouble

you paid 450-500 because u down payment a lot?
actually I really don't remember how much I put down or what the actual payments were (five years ago)... I decided to just pay it off after about 6 months.

I guess I could dig out my records and look it up...

so 2separate loans.. one for a down payment and one from another bank for the balance of the car..? I just thought you said in ur first post that u didn't put a down payment. i just checked.. u did..

why didn't you just finance the whole car with one bank..?

i'm not sure if is from 2 different banks or not lol, i pay for the car but is on my mother's name, so she dealt with all that, i'm almost done paying off the down payment loan, my whole income tax check went towards the down payment loan. I got a long way to go to pay off the car though
