HOLY CRAP! Major feathering/cupping on the inside of my tire!!!

I took my G in today to get the tires rotated. The mechanic tells me that my right front tire is cupping badly. I guess that explains the roaring road noise that I've been experiencing. I'm very very dissapointed with the fact that these are very new tires, and cupping is already an issue. What do I do at this point? Get an alignment? Should I call up my dealership and see if they can fix it for free?

UPDATE: I called Infiniti consumer affair about this issue. They said there are no recalls about this issue. That is a bunch of BS considering that when I go to the search bar and type in: "G35 feathering/cupping tires", a buttload of topics and complaints about this problem has been mentioned. They did tell me however that if my local dealership can determine that this is a defect, they would be able to get the problem fixed for free. My car btw, is a 2006 and is still under warranty until march.

Have you guys ever heard or experience this problem? The tire roar/noise is almost unbearable.

Hey....I'm having the same problems with my front tires. They are cupping really bad. I'm going on my 7th set of tires in 19 months. The dealer ship has replaced 3 sets already for free. On my 7th set theyt started cupping right after 1000 miles and I brought it right back to the dealer. They had an Infiniti Rep come down from and look at it and all he told me was " That's the nature of the car" I flipped out !!! I said the nature is to ruin tires after 1000 miles. It was this heated discusion and aterwards I left the dealership with a loaner car. It's now been 10 days that I have the loaner car and still no answer as to what they are going to do. I have an attorney following all my documentation back and for to Infiniti. My next step is to bring legal action. If you would like to hear exactly what's going on give me a call and I'll get you caught up on everything and what to do moving forward.

It's completely illegal to sell us a car that ruins tires in a few thousand miles. It's also a safety issue. If the tires are wearing uneven they could fail and at a high speed on the highway and hurt youself and others, Even kill someone. It's pretty serious.....Call me !!!

If anyone is interested in knowing more about what to do with your Infiniti's tire wearing problems don't hesitate to call me !!!

Nissan has issued a TSB for the 350z. Infiniti as usual, are dragging their feet. They're still denying the rev-up motors burns oil.

What year and so on is your Infiniti? How many miles? To me it sounds like you have a good case for most lemon laws as long as there are no other flags such as modifications.

I'm thinking if you've had your alignment checked and tires balanced but still going thru front tires frequently I find a way to fix the issue. Like adjustable upper a-arms which would be cheaper than replacing your tires and would fix the problem permanently. Check our MARKETPLACE under suspension and ask our sponsors for their advice....
