Besides performance can anyone actually hear a difference with the 5/16 one? I heard only the 1/2 has a noticeable growl.

A little but, but you'll hear more with the 1/2 but you won't have as much usable power.

Do an intake if you want growl.

Dude go for the 1/2 its much better than the 5/16. Remember bigger is better, more air will get to the engine .watch how quickly your rpms get from 4 to 7k

All the guys I know running the 1/2" have not been able to get their engine cover on. Most strut bars have about 1" clearance even with the 1/2" spacer.

While the 1/2" spacer does give you a little more power at higher rpm's, I wouldn't say it's much better than the 5/16". It just depends on your driving habits. If you push your car past 4k all the time, then the 1/2" is best. But I rarely go past 4k since I do mostly city driving, so the 5/16" is better for me because of the better low-mid range power.

Well then you got the right size for your driving, haha. But yeah, my point was mostly that just because the spacer is thicker, doesn't necessarily make it best. I guess it's like comparing a small turbo to a big one, the bigger turbo will make more power, but a lot later than the smaller turbo. I hope that makes sense .

^ QFT, i think its more or less the power curve, but even still the differences are probably unnoticeable
