the Castrol oil you should be putting in your car is not advertised in the ad, it's not even advertised anywhere in US.

How much oil is needed for an oil change assuming all coupes use the same amount of oil? Im tired of paying $75 at the dealer for synthetic.

Well you should always check it after the change and frequently in between.

i do check afterwards, and everywhere i look online says 4.2-4.75 quarts including filter so i dont really think .3 quarts difference will really read all that much on the dipstick. I check in between, i usually have to add about 1/4 of a quart between oil changes maybe a little more.

Walmart 5 qt jugs FTW. Castrol Edge has a rebate offer as well. $15 if you can buy 5 1 qt containers. Some stores are having 5 1qt + filter deals for Edge as well. Or $10 rebate for the 5 qt container. I'll probably do this as WM has good pricing and I already have the Wix filters.

Well, evidently not EVERYwhere, LOL! (and that includes the manual, my manual anyway) I just find 5 qts nails the top line (after running the car for a few minutes to fill the filter, of course) and it would only be inconvenient to put in less.

The one time I had Nissan do my oil change I know they didn't put all 5 quarts in because for the first time since my G was new my oil level was below the full line. My first thought was, "Oh no!"

This deal ends tomorrow! I am just 500 miles away so I am going to buy it while they have the deal.

How do you guys do 5qts from the 5.25 qt bottle, it annoys me. Right now I am about 3/4ths the way till the High/Full line. I don't want to over fill it nor under fill :O

I buy the filter for the M. Fits perfectly and is a little larger. 5.25 quarts fills to the full line.

"Just think with your dipstick Jimmy!!" That's for you old farts of which I am one as well.
