if you are AT 3.5 is okay (you should be able to find used cheap)... I prefer (and have) 3.7 (3.692)

If you wanted speed, you bought the wrong car. Intake, exhaust, headers, plenums etc etc. Wont do anything. Not even 1 sec off the 1/4.

I'm AT.

it's doubtful that you will find used 3.7, but I suppose it's possible - it's an OEM part and used in the Frontier, M (earlier yrs, I don't know about now), 07+ G sedan, and I think the G37 & 370Z - and probably more Nissans.

So if any of those cars/trucks switch FD, then I guess there is a chance of getting used... it's just not nearly as likely as finding 3.5 used.

That is because it already has a good 1/4 for a stock car. The fact is that the car is not made for drag racing. It is a high performance street car which will run circles around much of what is out there especially in its price range.

If you want something in the 4s for 0-60 probably a vette is your best bang for the buck there, but you will give up some other things in the process.

Sports coupe? Yes
High performance? Not exactly.

Edit* meant coupe, not car.

Nowhere close to being a sports car, the weight alone kills it.

As far as its price range, it has better 1/4 mile times, better 0-60 times, and better top ends then most. For a street car it has higher performance than most others in its price range.

For less than 2000 an STI can go 0-60 in 4.3 and 12.9 in the quarter.

3-inch downpipe with full catback exhaust, intake and tune it will make 350hp and 353torque...

$2000 might get our cars into.....high 13s

Just sayin'

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a 4200lbs car != a sports car. The coupe is more of a Luxury Gran Touring car. Even my Twin-Turbo 3000GT VR-4 is a GT because it weighs 3800lbs. You deeeeefinitely have to spend at least $3,500+ alone in a few parts just to get down to the 12s in this car from what I take it. The car looks and handles great, but it's just far too heavy in stock form to be quick. I have grown out of the whole racing thing anyway and if I want to go fast, I'll hop on my bike.

$3500? Try around $6000

You need to go FI to get into the 12s

$3500 maybe for a honda. But for the G, 350z, ur looking at a min. of 10k..

Turbo kits alone are $3500+, Then add tuning, labor and other misc parts.
- New exhaust
- AEM ems or Greddy e-manage
- Forged pistons / rods (JE)
- Gauges (Defi electronic gauges) > Vacuum gauges
- new oil pan (Moroso)

People say that can just use the stock motor and run 7psi. But that never happens. After a few weeks, they're going to want to increase the boost.

And end up spending a few thousand more to do it all over. So you might as well do it right the 1st time.

Yea, but we're talking about hitting 12s, not trying to surpass them. Procharger kits have hit 12s in the past and you can do a direct bolt on with that for around $5000-$6000 with tune on stock internals.
