center console insert?

hopefully someone here can help.

i have a 2005 G35x sedan. above the radio and climate controls, there is a cubby with a flip-down door. This is the location where the navi would go (if that was even an option on the 05...i don't know).

what i'm trying to do is mount an xm radio in that location. currently, i've got the door flipped open, and the radio is mounted on the underside of the door.

but, what i'm looking for is some type of insert that could cover that cubby if the door is removed. i'd like it to cover the opening and cover the bottom portion of the cubby (that's where i have some of the wiring currently).

does anyone know of an insert that might fit my needs?

sounds to me like you need to start getting creative.

Yeah, you're going to have to fabricate something.

i wanted to go cheap and fabricate something for my nav there so that when i open the cubby my portable nav would pop out. I had the work done but then my nav broke. no money for a new one

not really what you needed but i wanted to do something with the cubby too.
