Hi, there have probably been numerous topics comparing/contrasting between 1st and 2nd gen sedans but I just want to know the major advantages of each car compared to the other. WHY? Because 07s are dropping in prices and are only about 3,000$ separate them from 06 models. I was wondering if they are that much better than 1st gen sedans and should I just save up just a little bit longer and get an 07 instead of 06? any info is greatly appreciated!!!

 

I've driven the 1 st gen coupe and sedan and the 2nd gen coupe and sedan. For the 1st gen coupe vs 2nd gen coupe, some including prefer the looks of the 1st gen better. In terms of other aspects (interior, engine, breaks, ..) i give it hands down to the 2nd gen coupe. Now the 2nd gen sedan looks way better than the 1st gen sedan. (They didn't even put projector headlights in 1st gen sedan). For a sedan I'd definitely try to get the 2nd gen.

 

No question, save up for the 2nd gen.

 

The HR engine and the interior alone are worth paying the small premium for the 2nd gen. The 2nd gen is a big upgrade from the 1st gen, no question about it.

 

Or like me, you can wait for the 2006s to drop in price now that the 07's have come down in price.

I am limited to spending <$20k on what will be the fourth car for two drivers

 

A few of us here have had both and although the 1st Gen is a fantastic car the 2nd Gen is the one to get if you can afford it. Drive each of them and you will see what I mean.

 

same i got 21k right now but im waiting till February or march to buy the car because that will be my birthday present from myself. In an ideal situation I'll save up 2k more and the prices will drop a little so i can afford it.
