Good deal or no?

So i came across a g35 coupe that was being sold with a salvage title....i know i know, before you say anything, take a look at the pics....the car is really really easy to repair with no mechanical problems. The only things needed is the bumper cover, bumper, radiator support, airbags, and thats pretty much it. I am pretty good with cars and can do most of the work myself, the only thing that i will have someone else who is a professional is the airbags....but since i can get both the bags for 400 off ebay, it will only cost my 500 to install. What do you guys think? The car is silver, 2006 g35 coupe, with 29k on it, and auto (unfortunately) and the asking price is 9000. Ohh and there is NO frame damage!

Doesn't the pass airbag require replacing the entire dashboard since it blows through the dash? The airbag module sits behind the dash?

Personally, i'd pass. Good deal or not, once a car is wrecked like that they are never the same. You get phantom squeaks and rattles, and other mystery probs that rear their head down the road. Plus the resale is basically out the door because once a person hears "salvage", they are gonna want it as cheap as possible or won't even give it a second look.

Does anyone know where i can get a dash for this thing??? i cant seem to find them anywhere! Also, this car was not involved in an accident with another vehicle. It actaully hit a person walking....hopefully they survived. So this at least gives me hope that nothing else is wrong with the car since it wasnt a collision with another vehicle.

I seriously doubt it hit a person walking.

3500 pound car vs 200 pound person would not decellerate the vehicle quickly enough to activate the airbags. Airbags are designed to not deploy when "plowing through" objects...but when the vehicle comes to an abrupt stop like smashing into a brick wall.

Thats what the report says on the carfax thing. Maybe they hit a person and them a wall or something but i think that there would be more damage if they hit a wall or something like that.

I say take it to the dealer and get it Fully Inspected and then can you make a wise decision to the working order of the vehicle sounds like a good deal assuming the vehicle doesn't have any other problems gl with your endeavors.

Maybe they hit the person at 100MPH or something? Only way i can see a pedestrian impact damaging the radiator support.
