Angry '07 G35 broken into.. how to disable auto window roll down??

i've had my 07 G35x sedan for a month now.. i'm in Central NJ.. tonight i was in a strip mall for about 30 minutes, came out, and the door lock cover was popped off and windows rolled down.. a few items were taken from the backseat (new shoes, shirt), i was stupid for leaving them visible..

luckily the door damage isnt too bad but i am seriously concerned about Infiniti's "feature" of auto roll down windows.. when i got home tonight, i jumped on Google and came across atleast 5 discussion threads about the same break in method (all in NEW JERSEY too). this is a serious design flaw and has been exploited for "thieves" gain

I can have the car fixed but i need this auto window roll down feature disabled, i have no use for it..

I have a few questions..

- Does anyone know Infiniti's stance on this? Can they disable this for free?
- Is there a Do It Yourself guide to disabling this on the 2007 models?
- Anyone elses experience with having this fixed would be cool

Thanks guys!

The Auto Roll down feature if you hold down the unlock key on your fob? Is that the thing your talking about?

what exactly is the design flaw with it?

Gl on figuring out how to disable it.

I consider it a design flaw when someone can pop the lock cover off, and use a screwdriver in a mechanical way to electrically auto roll down windows.

I'm looking for any input..

I think turning on the window lock should disable the auto rolldown. Need to double check on my G though...

Just tried it too, didnt work.

I'm hoping to give Infiniti/Nissan tomorrow a hard time to get the actual steps to disable it

yes that feature, i believe, indirectly allows them to drop the windows down using a screwdriver after popping the cover that goes around your door lock..

i could link to atleast 3 other similar threads about this kind of break in (all in NJ) but the links are at other message boards.. i'm surprised no one on this board has any information thus far.. it's been an issue for years it seems

IIRC there were threads on this topic a long time ago.
I believe the solution was to disconnect a wire coming from the lock tumbler.

...not positive on this though.

just to clarify,
we are talking about the feature that opens/closes the windows if you insert the Key into drivers side door ?
if that is the case, i will take my door apart this weekend there should be some wires connected to the lock and window module...
but this wont stop somebody from opening the doors, those car alarms are only good for when somebody breaks your window and reaches inside to open the doors from the inside, otherwise the car alarm does not respond in fact it actually gets turned off, since the computer thinks the doors were open by the key and disables the alarm,

How will disabling this keep your car safe?

If someone can lower the window with a screwdriver thru a keyhole... And you disable it..

All he/she has to do is turn the screwdriver the other direction to unlock the door. LOL

depends on my schedule over the weekend, i will try to take apart the doors and see what could be done,
you can disable the lock from opening the doors overall... but idk what will you do when battery dies,
a shock sensor in the doors could help you out i'm sure it be possible to tap into door lock module instead of running additional wires,
