Window issue

Sorry if this has been covered. I searched with no luck.

When I bought my G35 coupe a week ago the power window was broken. I had it replaced yesterday and it is now functioning properly.

My question: Is the window designed to come all the way up except for about a half inch and then closes fully automatically when you shut the door? It does this everytime I get in and out of the car.

Yes... its the design of the window. it seals a bit more when it rolls up that 1/2 in.

You only see this on cars with no window frame(usually coupes)
