I just got a 07 x model w/ snow tires but i havn't driven it in the snow yet. . But I did have a RWD lincoln for the past five years living in DENVER. From my experience with that car, the brakes were my enemy. I had multiple instances where I was sliding straight, into a corner, or up to a light where I would have crashed if I did not release the brakes and just steer around my obstacles. This is probably basic knowledge however. The moral of the story is drive at cautious speeds based on driving conditions. Drive Safe.

I put the Conti ExtremeWinterContacts on yesterday. Today we got a freak snow/sleet storm. After one season, about 5,000 miles, I have 10/32" on the front tires and 9.5/32" on the tires that were on the rear.

I am having horrible luck.

Still at school, with my car, LUCKILY on my 17s, but they have some crap Cooper CS4 Touring All seasons. Got some snow this weekend, car did OK as it was only aobut an inch, but tomorrow is supposed to be another 1-5inches, then Wednesday when I have to drive home for Thanksgiving, I will be going into 6-12" with my Coopers.....

I have my Continental ExtremeWinterContacts sitting in the garage, getting put on the SECOND i get back wednesday. My buddy has already setup a time.
