Hey guys, I've been having this problem for a little while now.. Now its gotten bad and really annoying.

My heater/AC comes on by itself and won't shut off.. I cannot control it.. The temp is at the last setting I had it on but the AC turns on with it. So at times it can get VERY HOT or VERY COLD in my car. Now at the same time when this happens my Bose radio screen goes blank and I can't control that either unless I use the steering controls.. Even when I do that I have to guess what station I'm on.. So none of the center console buttons work at all. Weird thing is that this happens on and off on a daily basis.. Sometimes it will happen in the middle of driving.. Sometimes right from the start it happens then it goes back to normal in the middle of driving.. Or sometimes doesn't happen at all.


What also happened was my tail lights stopped working along with the headlights.. They only worked if I braked.. The fuse for that one was blown. Replaced it and now they work fine..

So anyone know what this could be? Its incredibly annoying. It kills my MPG and performance.

 

That much stuff acting up at the same time sounds like a grounding problem to me, but it's really impossible to say where from the symptoms, somebody's just got to clean your grounding connections to the stereo/climate control board and work from there.

 

Sounds like your radio circuit board is going bad. It's a fairly common problem. You should be able to find lots more information by searching.

 

I have a face place with the AC controls and circuit board sitting here.. 2 issues.. 1 its not a bose cicuit board.. and 2 its a different interior color. Is the circuit board the same? Can I pop off the buttons and swap them?

 

Funny I had the same problem a couple nights ago... I'd like an answer to this aswell.
