Help Installing a Ipod kit for 2006 G35

Has someone installed the I-Pod Adapter kit with satellite radio? I hooked mine all up, but cant get the I-Pod to work. Any suggestions on what I am doing wrong? If I unplug the satellite and plug the I-pod directly into the pre-wired trunk outlet it works. But when both are hooked up the satellite only works.
