Will the G35 sedan be a classic one day?

Being that this car has a pretty good fanbase right now, and has had one since the beginning, do you see it someday being mentioned in the same sentence as other Japanese classics like the Pink Cadillac, Acura Legend, BMW 3?

Since when are Catallacs, and Bmws japanese???


I guess it depends on what you define as a classic, some could already consider it one...

I'd say it's doubtful. Cadillac has been around since before WWII and BMW is close to that (at least as car company). I'd expect the closest thing Nissan has to that level of "classic" is the Z line. I would expect Infiniti to get bored and move on to something else before the G becomes a collector car.

Actually, since before WWI - around 1903.

As I mentioned in the coupe classic thread, only 2003 green doggy door sedans will become classics. The rest...meh.

too many people are gonna rice them out. idk the lexus sc300 was sorta like the g35 of the 90s is that a classic?

lol the G will never be considered a classic. 3 Series aren't even classics, they're just popular and well known.

If Infiniti ever gets around to building a halo car to take on the likes of the 7 Series, S Class, A8, upcoming XTS, and the LS and does so competitively, then maybe they'll be looked upon as a top tier luxury automaker.

As it stands now, Nissan has no intent of making Infiniti a top tier automaker.

those are not halo cars, they are high end luxury cars

a halo car is like the GT-R, corvette, ford gt, viper, lexus LF-A, audi R8..even the z to a lesser extent, cars designed to showcase a company's ability and lure people into showrooms at which point they will buy a crappy cobalt/sentra/mailbu etc that they can actually afford

The SC 300/400 was alot better looking and more stylish than the current gen SC. But no, that wasn't a classic.

as it stands now, the only car with a "G" in Nissan's line-up that will ever be a classic is the GTR.

the G sedan/coupe will not be a classic.
