Perception of Infiniti as a Brand

And yeah, this survey is nothing but horse ****. I am guessing that the majority of households wouldn't even know what an Infiniti is.

me: Yup, Infiniti is owned by Nissan
them: Ha, i told you they weren't luxury. You're just paying extra for the name
me: I don't mind, to me it's still a Nissan, regardless of price. I just like the car, that's all. And i like Nissan. You could say the same about Acura/Honda, Toyota/Lexus.
them: What? No way, my Lexus is a Lexus. It's a luxury brand unlike Infiniti's which are Nissans (Or, replace Lexus with Acura)
and it goes downhill from there...

I find it funny that when people ask me what kind of car I bought and I say Infiniti G37X, mostly a blank look comes over their face. Then they say who makes it. But I am in small town Nova Scotia. It just seems to be a not very well recognized brand name, which is not bad. I like having a car that isn't on every street corner. Last car, An A3 was the same way, I had the only one in this part of the province.

Yeah, I've had a few conversations like that so I've had to school people on auto makers.
As for the dealerships, there is Team Infiniti and Team Nissan of Oxnard about 10 minutes from my house. They are right next to each other and owned by the same guy. Both places are awesome, but I go to Team Infiniti for all my service because the service manager is wicked cool and does his best to make sure every one is taken care of.

I took Quantitative Methods in college through my major (Geography).
Basically we learned about statistics and surveys. First thing our professor told us is you can make any study or survey portray any information you want.
LOL one of the biggest factors is presentation. You can ask the same question but word it differently and get a totally different response for a participant.
Not saying Inifniti is the best or worst company out there, but when I see a study/survey (about health, living, cars, whatever) I usually take them with a grain of salt
