My bad luck G

just wanted to introduce myself to the forum. my name is Shawn, i live in Cincinnati Ohio and i recently bought an 06 g35 coupe.

my previous car was a 1993 toyota corolla so the G makes me giddy like a little school girl when i drive it, and sometimes i'll just stand outside after i get home staring at my cars sexyness. i call it the bad luck G because within the first month of owning it i got robbed. someone did a sweep of my neighborhood looking for unlocked cars and found mine among others open. i know im dumb for not locking my car, trust me, i hadn't driven her all day but i unlocked it earlier to grab my smokes and i simply went to bed without locking her up. the thief made off with sixty bucks out of my wallet and my cell phone charger but missed my ipod, my 80 dollar pool cue and my two pairs of sun glasses. not so bad, right? well about two weeks later i wake up to someone at my door. i answer the door and he says ,"i'm sorry man i backed into your silver car out here" i storm out my door right past him to find this:

i couldn't believe my eyes. how could someone hit my car when it was parked in front of my house in a damn culdesac. he was backing out of a driveway across the street from where my beauty was parked and ran his f150 into the G. he said " i couldn't see your car because my truck is so high and your car is so low..." i wanted to say YEAH RIGHT, USE YOUR MIRRORS YA ****. i was so mad i could have beaten this guy to death in front of my neighbors lol but he came to my door and took responsibility so i kept my cool. and he actually had the nerve to say "yeah man, thats a nice car" while we waited for the cop.

anyway after driving a 2009 ford focus for a week, the longest week of my life, i am back in my baby. the body work turned out great but they had to send the driver side rear wheel out to be re finished and now it looks better than the rest of my wheels. hopefully the insurance company will cover the other three wheels to be re finished. so thats the story of my bad luck G, hopefully my luck will change.

Wow, that's quite the story. Hey pix 2 and 4 don't work, unless it's me and the gov computer? And the other pix are HUGE, might wanna downsize a little. No wonder you haven't posted much, no time with all that bad luck. haha. Hopefully your luck will change soon.

Wow that sucks bro, sorry to hear. I have had the same luck with my G. I have had hail damage, which was kinda cool because I got the whole car repainted. Then, I got t-boned by a drunk driver, my car was in the shop for two months. And just recently I had someone take a concrete block to my car, I also got the whole car repainted again. Things just happen that are out of your control.

sounds like you've had it way worse than me but i've only had the thing for three months. even after i got my car back looking great i still can't help but feel that the thing is tainted because its been in a wreck. you feel the same way?

he was actually checking out a house for sale across the street so he isnt my neighbor yet. the other neighbor across the street babysits so there are parents coming and going all the time and one of the parents just so happened to be dropping her kid off and saw the whole thing go down. he probably would have run if no one saw him i think, just because he REALLY didn't want to call the cops or file a claim with his insurance company

This is just the beginning. Besides this car being accident prone. Wait for your motor to go bad if it's a 6mt. Look forward to replacing your tires every 10k. 70k on the odo yet? Good news $700+ to replace a failing seal/gasket.

Window motors wait for it. Gone.

Seats. yeah, it'll tear if you weigh more then a typical asian. lol

Compression rod bushings, yep, its cracked. Go take a look at it. (Nissan has already modified the current rods/bushing to prevent this).

Better take in your car before the warranty is out.
---------

And yes, 1 day after I got my car, some idiot in a SUV reversed into my car and scraped the clear coat out of my rear bumper. Luckily it was just a surface scratch but I was still pissed. It was a day old and the idiot took off. Called the cops but I only caught 5 of the 7 alpha/number characters on the plate. And 7/11 refused to release the security tape. I thought the was pulling a little too close to my car. And by the time I got close enough to look at the scratch, he was gone.

Some old white man in a beat up SUV.

bought it used from Infiniti at 44,xxx and got the "wrap around warranty" which covers me till 100,000. im at 48K and change right now so i'm still covered . the drivers window motor seems to be failing the auto up stopped working the other day when my car was freezing cold.
