Would never put anything other than the recommended Premium in my baby, and boy does she love some Chevron Supreme!

our cars are designed for high octane so the ecu can advance the timing to produce the maximum hp. higher octane fuel is actually less combustable so there is less chance for detonation.

^^^ yep.

this is why I always get miffed when ppl say race gas does no good... in and of itself it doesnt add power - but with an aggressive tune with advanced timing you do get power (the higher octane makes it safe).
