Well then you must be blind. The glass on the G35 comes with stock tint. It is very light, something like 97% tint. Here's a discussion about the topic (Nissan uses the same glass):

So before you "lol", get your facts straight.

Yes it gives almost 100% UV protection as does almost ANY glass. Ever notice that the "transitions" lenses in your glasses don't work very well in the car or through a window? They need UV light to change.

Glass does not block all UV light. here's a discussion on the topic:

I've certainly gotten sunburned after driving long distances (in other cars).

I agree the stock is not enough for heat protection. My main interest is UV protection for the interior longevity. I am going to get a sports car next year, so the G35 will be out of the garage onto the street. I don't want to pay for tinting, so I'm wondering if the stock tint is sufficient for protecting the interior from UV.

I don't have a specific percentage of protection, but I would say it probably does not provide much. The interiors in newer cars will withstand quite a bit of exposure to sunlight though.

Why don't you want to pay for tint? Mine cost just over $100 and it looks great.

I use 35% all around the car, when parked at direct sunlight I leave a small 1/4" gap on both door windows and the sunroof tilted , sunshade is also on the windshield. Usually the car won't get as hot as it will without all those precautions.

in that case, i would tint.. i can tell my interior look flawless compared to friends' leather seats w/o tint.. make sure you put those sunshade on the front windshield.. get the fitted ones for like $25 on eBay.. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Okay, I don't know what I was talking about just now. Yes I will tint, and I intended to. I think what started this topic was my curiosity about the "stock tint" in the car and whether there was any UV protection.

I think premium cars should have 100% UV protection stock, don't you think?
