Spray paint or brush on paint? I sanded, cleaned, washed the calipers 2-4 times then put a heat gun on them to dry. Painted 3-4 coats. Should last me a couple months.

You can make them look way better than that with the right color

On my G35 that i posted pics on the 2nd page...i used SPRAY paint beleive it or not. I took my time with prep though, and did it when i was putting in new rotors and pads. I used 3 bottles of brake cleaner and simple green to clean the new rotors and calipers, then used an IPA/Water spray solution to clean off any greases left on the brakes. Then a little prep with POR-15 metal ready metal prep...and then used Duplicolor caliper SPRAY paint with several coats. I did the rotors and caliper support brackets off the car, and hung the calipers in the well, got a trash back and taped the crap out of everything and sprayed them there.
I took that pic maybe 3-6 months later...they still look that good. Every once in a while, i need to take the wheel off and get a nylon brush and simple green and wash the caliper to get rid of brake dust i can;'t reach through the spokes, but in terms of the paint flaking and chipping..none at all. I'm impressed actually. Coming up on 2 years
I gotta do the rears this spring...so going to do the same exact thing. I don't see a prob painting OEM brakes just to make them look clean. I mean i wouldnt go out and paint your accord's rear drums yellow like i see all the time, but nothing irks me more than to see a clean car lowered with nice rims...and rusty *** brakes behind them. But then again, i don't like when i see a nice clean white car with chrome rims and the owner paints the calipers blue or something. They need to take a lesson from their girlfriends on coordination! You don't wear blue shoes with a white dress.
