accident and insurance question

Hey all, I was rear ended yesterday and my new chargespeed bumper took damage and I'm wondering if the other person's insurance will cover the replacement cost on that CS rear and not just put a new OEM back on?

She has expressed interest in settling this without the insurance company but I'm not sure that's my best move but is that might be my only move to get a CS rear back on again? Any info/advice will be appreciated.

the insurance needs to replace it the way it was. just as long as you have the receipt.

did you get a police report? if you did see if she would settle without the insurance. if she cant agree to a price use insurance and have her ins company pay for a rental while its getting fixed.

if you dont have a report, i would go with insurance.

did you file a police report?

the insurance is supposda put everything back the way it was before the accident.

Any type of body work is expensive, so unless her deductible it really high I say use the insurance

It was in a Mcdonalds drivethru which I guess the police said puts it on private property so their is no official report but there is a case number assigned to the incident.

Well, as long as I know the other insurance company will be paying for a CS rear again, I think that's what I'm leaning to do. The mom of the girl who hit me was hoping that I would consider going around insurance since her daughter who hit me has only had her license for 3 weeks now and they wanted to keep it off her record, but I don't think she realizes that it will be more than a couple hundred dollars.

everything
OEM parts are almost always way more expensive than aftermarket parts. Get the check made out to you instead of a bodyshop and order whatever bumper you want. Or go to a bodyshop that will let you order what you want after they give the insurance a quote
