Smile All m/t owners..how to park????

alright guys, i was wondering how many of you, when you park, leave ur car in neutral with the e-brake or in 1st gear with the e-brake. does it really matter? i was taught that when u park ur car u should leave it in first.Sometimes i would forget i had it in first when i would start the car and stall it lol i usually just leave it in neutral

I usually put it in first, but not always.

To me it really doesn't matter, as long as you rip the E-brake.

I always do neutral and e-brake... Dad always leaves it in first... if either of us drives a vehicle after the other one... we get mad

Everyone I know with a MT leaves there car in first along with the brake on. If you'll push the clutch in when starting your G you won't have issues or get woken up....

I do 1st and e-brake, or if the car is faicng downhill I do R and e-brake. Not sure if it makes a difference, but it takes a second to do and it's extra peace of mind, so it can't hut.

I leave mine in neutral and lift the E-brake. One time in my old eclipse I let my friend drive it and when I got in it I was so used to it being in neutral, I started the car took my foot off the clutch and I rammed my mothers car lol.
