Cold Air Intake. Any Suggestions???

What's the best/cheapest cold air intake to get for my G coupe? I mainly want a intake for added sound. Please if anyone knows where to get one or and suggestions it would be very helpful.

I notice you only have 5 posts but id defiantly recommend searching before posting threads like this.

The VQ does not work well with any CAI. The best intake is the stock intake and or (even better) 2006 rev up air box depending on the year of your car. Dynos have proven it. And in most cases you might even loose some low end HP after running a CAI.

Here is a sub thread you might want to spend some time reading and learning on.

And in regards to sound.. I LOVE the sound of my Fujita F5 intake. But im selling it soon to get the rev up air box because im looking for power (have my exhaust for sound).

My Fujita F5 intake:

Good luck!

Stillen Z-Tube with a K&N drop in filter is the cheapest way to change the sound and increase airflow. A step up would be to get the whole Stillen CAI with it's large K&N filter, that's the best intake without heat soak issues. Please, use our SEARCH before posting questions that have been answered a kazillion times so you don't get....

here to help a Noob, but definitely search the Tech forums. Your best bet is to get a ztube and Amsoil drop in. You will get a touch better engine note and you wont suffer from heat soak issues. CAI is not a good choice on the VQ IMO. Spend money on a cat back/axle back exhaust system if you really want to change the sounds.

I've said it many times before, my favorite is the R2C and this comes from someone who normally makes fun of intakes on our cars. Looks great, is reasonably priced, is shielded from heatsoak, and sounds great.

Not as bad as an open intake, and I'm at the point it's OK to sacrifice a couple of HP to get the bling.

Haven't felt a difference in the butt dyno, but when I experimented with a Pop Charger last spring it lasted all of 2 1/2 weeks before I yanked that shizz off and sold it. Major bummer because it looked and sounded soooo good.
