Ok first of all what the hell is a tip tonick. Second of all you won't mess it up by driving in manual mode if u know what ur doing. And racing on automatic is dumb, using manual mode when u wanna get the most out of your shifts is a must.

Dude, that's "tiptronic", BMW invented it and only they call it "tiptronic" others call them manual shift automatics or manumatics for short. Make a little bit of effort when researching something

If you shift manually, it's not going to mess up your transmission. It has safety systems in place to prevent you from breaking it or the engine. The only real reason to use it is to prevent it from upshifting on the track when you let up on the gas, since automatics by default optimize gas mileage, not performance. So, shift as much as you want, it won't break the car. It makes no difference whether you use it on the highway or street, and unless you are concerned about the transmission not shifting while cornering, there's really no need to do it other than for fun.

I drive in manumatic all the time, I cannot drive in D I keep popping it into N all the damn time. lol

I hate how Auto tranny's downshifts to 3rd if I want to pass some people. I want to be able to control what gear I am in. So I can pass someone in 5th with out the tranny shifting all over the place. I love it how I can floor it in 5th or what not and the tranny will not change gears on me. On lexus/Audi cars that thing will shift automatically and stuff even in manumatic.

Some people get really tipsy on the tonick. You shouldn't do it while driving.
