true.. just saw finallygotag's grille which was professionally painted and it was cllleeeean, although it had one rock chip, +1 theyre inevitable.

It does seem no matter what you will get some saw a guy do his with bedliner that wont chip! haha

You're going to get rock chips, yes... but if you don't do your prep right, you'll get way more, way quicker... if not properly done, even bugs will chip it

My grille was professionalyy painted 4 years ago and still looks great with no rock chips. Like mentioned already rock chips are inevitable and the better prep job is the more resistant grill will be to chips.

Do not use spray paint from local parts store. Have it professionally done with quality automotive grade paint.

I had mine painted professionally and its been 3 years, I have about 3-4 rock chips but I have done track days and drive daily everywhere, I plan to re-do it every once in a while.

screw getting the grill prof done. jus do it urself. even if u get chips jus respray its so easy. i did mine and so far no chips granted its only been a few months

I did my grill in a about 30 minutes and it looks good, but the chips are just a part of life. So every few months spend another 30 minutes painting it again and you'll be fine.

You are going to get rock chips regardless. Just look at where the grill is. It's right out in front asking to get some rock chips.

Screw the guy who wouldn't paint your grill. If he doesn't like money then he can go F@#K himself. Do it yourself, save some money, and you can quality control it all you want.

You may as well just do what you want. Your always going to end up getting some degree of damage on the front of your car (bumper, grill, hood..).

Might as well enjoy yourself. Repaint it in the future if need be.
