NFSP G35, did you ever create a thread about painting your grill? im a bit interested in your process as you used materials most havent AND most of all, you used a clearcoat on flat paint and it doesnt look bad at all which is very surprising.

Not paint, but i plasti-dipped mine. Have about 1.2k miles on it now, so far, so good.

Nah, I never did.

The trick to the clear coat is that it's a matte clear, not just a regular clear coat.

I have always used adhesion promotor on wheels/grilles. You can get it at advanced or auto zone and it works wonders.

I made the mistake of repainting a bumper on a previous car I had and within 2 months it looked horrible. Repainted it using adhesion promotor as a base and never really had any more problems with rock chips.

^You know, I tried using that stuff and it messed up on me

It like wrinkled up a bunch and made a mess, I had to sand it all back off.

I used a high adhesion primer though, and so far that's worked well.

That was going to be my second question. Look's good on white, I wonder if I can pull it off in my brilliant silver
