Happy 4th Of July to All of G35driver!
Happy 4th Of July Everyone!
As a combat Veteran of the Iraq War, I urge you to celebrate this Independence day with more love and patriotism that you ever before. Many of your family and friends have served, supported or have given all to the freedoms we all enjoy this Holiday.
Whether it be the recent wars in the middle east or any past war or peacetime service, my Brothers in Arms give up their time with their family, miss the delivery of their newborns, wish happy birthdays through a letter, see their baby for the first time through a webcam, lost loved ones while thousands of miles away, got divorced, got married...Insert anything you wish, but its a sacrifice and a way of life that we chose to live.
I would do another 223 days in 142 degree weather under sniper fire, road side bombs and ambushs if it means my little girl can enjoy this Independence day without the thought of bloodshed on our own soil.
So this weekend, Think, Pray for or Remember all those serving overseas or missing their families and loved ones. Get off your butt and give the proper respect to Old Glory as it passes by in the parade. Tell the kid running his mouth to respect the symbol for which many have given their lives.
I found this mural and wanted to share it. I hope you enjoy it.

Devo...anytime! The location of the mural is just off 270 (the outerbelt, so maybe we could get a pic of your G there! Good luck with your career...I have been in 15.5 years now and love every moment of it.
Hot rod...it is tough, I have been in Iraq, Kuwait, Saudia Arabia, and Germany all within the last half of my career...the longest was 223 days in Iraq (Convoy security, 50 cal operator with the Air Force operating Joint Force with the 1st ID). I know and you know the sacrifices of time away from home...
