So I went to a private inspection station that my friend knew about to get my car inspected since I have tints. One of the techs there told me that due to the changes July 1st that tints would no longer be an issue at state facilities.

Has anyone gone through or tried recently?

I want to save a couple of bucks but I'm still a bit wary of going to the state stations yet.

Yea actually i was told that the changes in Inspection were pushed back to August. Time to play the waiting game.

 

i got my G inspected on the first and the lady who did it was still checking for tints

 

I'm not from the right coast but what's wrong with rolling into one of these stations and just asking them when the tint law will be changed? Are these state employees above answering questions from the public? We have smog check stations we must pass to get our registration renewed but for the most part these people are cool....and of course some are azz holes.
