Just bought a G-Coupe

Hi Guys,

New to this forum. Just got the car. Love it!
2006 coupe 6mt 24,000k.

One quick stupid question. I looked in the owners manual but cannot find it. What the hell is that warning light on the dash that is just above the check engine light and just below the washer fluid light. It looks like it has the numbers "120"???

One other question, are there any Canadian members here that know where I can buy the damn z-tube. I tried Nissan dealers with no luck. I can't find any online Canadian websites that sell the part. I also checked craigslist as well. I don't want to buy it from the U.S. because it comes to too much with shipping, taxes, exchange etc. However one site called everythingnissanparts.com is selling it for over $100 with shipping.

Thanks.

try to find someone in the US thats selling it used. Check over the marketplace at my350z.com. If people there are going aftermarket, most likely they will be selling the z-tube. you can also run the stillen ztube. It is pretty much the same thing.

ill check the light and get back to you.

btw, welcome to the forums, be sure to check out the canadian section!

ok thanks for your reply.

I read that stillen is the same but it doesn't come with the factory couplers and the finish is a little worse.

I wonder if I can't find anything regarding the warning light because I was looking at an owners manual that i downloaded online for 2006 coupe/sedan, either that or I'm an idiot!!

The 120 lights out in the southwestern asia area are the speed governor warning lights.

No government mandated governor in the states, so there's no need to mention it, it's just cheaper to mass one dash instead of different ones for different regions.

Hey G-lude congrats & welcome to 'Driver.
There are lots of active Canucks here in the Canadian section.
You shouldn't have too much trouble picking up a Z-tube.

If you move the sensors to the new tires and put each sensor in the same corner, no. Otherwise, yes.

I got quoted for a brand new stillen z tube for $90 shipped. The only other place I haven't checked is performance improvements which is in Toronto (etobicoke)

I don't think he's swapping rims if I understood him correctly.

OP if you're swapping out tires the TPMS will be fine.

Welcome to Driver g lude! I'm amazed that a $40 item here would cost you over $100 in Canada! In order to make your TPS work you'll need to swap them into your winter setup, they're just like a fat valve stem easily done.
Enjoy your new ride....
Gary
