They are giving me ~$350 back in a check. Better then nothing I suppose.

This must be the first time I have bought something and not done research before hand. I literally always do, which is why i feel like such a fool. Live and learn I suppose...

^ OP, glad you got something back. Just chalk this one up to experience and know going forward the only time to go to the dealer is for TSB's and recalls.

i paid 50 for two sets of pads (put in myself), and resurfaced for 35 at local tire place.

If your rotors aren't deeply grooved, you don't even need to resurface. Resurfacing consumes precious rotor material. The pads will squeak a little for a few days as the rotors and pads wear off to adapt to each other, but then it's back to normal.

OMG, it must really hurt to walk and leaning over must be out of the question! Are you eyes still watering? When my Infiniti stealership wanted $300 for a tranny flush I asked the service manager if I had "Stupid" written on my forehead....he didn't enjoy my humor. Went to Nissan where I used to take my previous Z for service and told them I wanted all my fluids drained and belts replaced my cost was less than $400. When I have any warranty work done at Infiniti the new service manager always asks me, "why not bring it here for service?" LOL Check my forehead!

I don't plan on going to the dealership anymore if I can avoid it. I'd rather just take it to a good mechanic. You can look online for BBB (Better Business Bureau) certification in your area, or go by word of mouth from someone you trust.

And as someone said above, if you do plan on going to the dealership, you should look online at their website for discounts first. I know they often have e-coupons for discounts on various services.

Wow....even the dealer up in Kirkland isn't that bad. Take your car up there and ask for Kyle Anderson. He's treated me well in the past.

At least they gave you $350 back. That was a bad move on their part. They admitted to raping you. Not sure why they refunded the money back. You signed and then paid for it after it was done.

It's not like you will be going back there after the $350 refund.
