Nissan won't do recall work on my car

No Infiniti dealers in the state, so I finally brought my car into Nissan for the airbag recall. Made an appointment and after driving there, service manager said they aren't working on them right now because they no longer have an agreement with Infiniti. Couldn't even tell me if they might be able to do it later.

Anyone else experience this? I'm pretty much SOL I guess.

Call Nissan North America headquarters and explain the situation, I'm sure they would help more than any of us

Rebadge your car to a Nissan. They will have to do it after that.

Mustang - It's possible that they make an exception for Alaska. It's a long drive to Washington.
brader - I hope that a call to Nissan/Infiniti helps you get this sorted out. G/L

If this is a safety recall, they HAVE to fix the problem on their dime!

Give Infiniti the option of shipping you a loaner car while they ship your car to the nearest dealer!

Nissan recalls 200,000 vehicles over passenger air bag issue

http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/15/n...air-bag-issue/

"Other models affected include '07 and '08 examples of the Infiniti EX35, G35 Sedan, G37 coupe and the Nissan 350Z, Rogue and Murano."

G35 and 350z are basically the same car... It's the same damn sensor. Why don't they make an "exception" since there is no Infiniti dealership in his state. This is a safety issues. Nissan, get with the program.

I got mine used after it was a lease vehicle in Vegas. BMW dealer up here bought it and brought it up. That's one of the reasons I like this car, there are very few up here. I've only seen 2 other coupes. There are a fair number of FX's that get brought up here.

Yeah exactly, that is what I was expecting. I'm sure they can get paid.
