I am getting a projector retrofit w/ RX lenses for turn signals done on a set of OEM headights currently. Prices for all the parts were not rediculous. But no way in hell I could do this mod on my own.

This would not be a mod I would recommend doing first. But it is a great exterior mod. Reflectors FTL.

Pointless...
+1

I found mine for about $400, and were well worth it IMHO. I cracked mine open to paint them and I love how they look, way better than reflectors.

any other cars can put hids on reflectors. I 've seen tons of civics and scions with reflector hids and it looks like ***.

projectors are clean and visible too.

PROJECTORS FTW!

I really hope you checked out a picture of Blain's ride before posting this... His sedan looks better than all but a handful of coupes out there....

How about you try searching it? It's not hard to do that. For the amount of time that you've been waiting for a reply, you could've found the threads and read up on them. If I don't tell you to search, majority of the members will.

4. You can do quad projectors on your 03/05 lights for less money
5. They aren't nearly as aesthetically pleasing as everyone says they are.

Why does everyone recommend this as the first mod????
projectors ftw... op, you'll never understand why we recommend it because that OEM option is never given to you.. enjoy your reflectors

Looking forward to seeing that, along with your other mods, at our (possible) August St. Louis meet!

BTW, my username is Tristan on the STL forums.

While I do admit I miss the clearance light strip in the 03-05 and I DID miss how the chrome on them seemed darker on them than on the 06-07; why I did end up opening mine and painting them flat black, the factory projectors are far better than the reflectors.

Also on the 03-05 the high beam and fog light are the same reflector with different outputs. I really like the fog light reflector on the 06-07. It focuses light at the ground and thus has allowed me to put a set of 3000K HID kit in them without creating distracting blinding glare to other drivers. Try that with the 03-05s... second thought, please don't, I don't want to see you on the road with them.

Now if I didn't buy my car with both a set of projectors which were installed AND the original headlights; I probably would have bought a second set of 03-05 since they are so cheap and I would need them because of the down time of having no headlights. And then I would have done a custom quad projector install. But I think I like only have 1 set of projectors.
