Frustrated Rant (OEM projectors)
I'm tired of everyone's first mod to offer people is "OEM projectors"
1. Stock Projectors in the coupes are terrible
2. They are crazy money
3. Majority of these people plan to crack open their lights anyways
4. You can do quad projectors on your 03/05 lights for less money
5. They aren't nearly as aesthetically pleasing as everyone says they are.
Why does everyone recommend this as the first mod????

you can get them cheap. don't be a fool and pay over 200 for a set.. The light output is WAY better than 03-05 and they look better. Doesn't have the dated look.. Quad projectors takes a **** ton of time and patients.. I had everything ready to go on my project but it was just way too time consuming so I gave up.

Even brand new I don't find $500+ to be overly expensive fore oem headlights.
And yes, they DO look that good compared to the other ones. I've had people come to me to say how awesome my headlights are and they are stock...lol.
i got mine brand new for 325, u just need to wait for the right time when they hit the market place...not everyone wants to crack open their lights. Personally id prefer a plug n play solution that doesnt cost 1800 like clear corners charges

The '06/'07 projector headlight upgrade is not what most members recommend as the first mod as a rule. That was one of my last mods and only then because my covers were damaged. After seeing what a difference they made I should have done it much sooner. I found my projectors on ebay "new in the box" as advertised for a great price....

imo to much chrome going on in the projector head lights. i actually like the 03 lights for the clearance light. if i get a chance and theyre cheap id get a brand spanking new set of 03 lights cus mine keeps oxidizing and my clearance strip is no good already

OP doesn't even have a coupe... what's the deal with this thread to be talking about somethin you don't even get a chance to do mods on... or is it jealousy of not having the option of going projectors since sedans never had any projectors... oh wait, maybe... you can do the quad thingy... if you're capable...
